Top Art was to be on display at Aratoi from 23 to 27 March to showcase some of the best secondary student artwork from around Aotearoa New Zealand last year. However, lockdown got in the way, but we can now provide a glimpse of the exhibition online.
The Top Art exhibition features a selection of NCEA Level 3 portfolios which achieved Excellence in Visual Art.
Five streams are covered: design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
As always, Aratoi is delighted to bring Top Art to the Wairarapa, giving students, whānau and the wider public an opportunity to see some of the amazing artwork being produced at secondary schools.
New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) Deputy Chief Executive Assessment, Kristine Kilkelly, says “Top Art provides an opportunity to celebrate young artists from around New Zealand, while helping people to understand what is required to achieve Excellence at Level 3.”
