The exhibition theme reflects Linda’s journey as both an artist and an immigrant.
In 1994, Linda moved to New Zealand in search of a safe haven and new opportunities for her family and herself. Relocating to a new country was not without its challenges. Linda faced difficulties adapting to a different culture and lifestyle, and struggled to find a sense of belonging in a place that sometimes felt unfamiliar and unwelcoming.
The beauty of Eastbourne with its bush clad hills, and stunning vistas across the sea to Wellington helped her come to terms with change and to find a new sense of belonging.
