In the 21st century we are bombarded with images and with all of this visual overload we often think we are immune to the impact of photography, but what happens when we look closely? In a gallery context the titles of the photographs are clues on how to 'read' them. However, if you look closely, beyond the subject of the photograph, you will often see details you have not noticed before.
Some photographs document the world around us, while others remind us of who we are, act as political statements or challenge what we are seeing. In this exhibition we invite you to actively engage with the images; to look and think more deeply about what you are looking at. Notice what you haven't seen before.
