Ian Chapman’s work has an illustrative quality. The humour is subtle but ever present. Each piece, with its own narrative, is a story caught mid-sentence. The mix of unlikely things in an unlikely landscape could be considered clumsy and uncoordinated but, like us all, they strangely belong together.
