Kerrie Hughes’ paintings draw from her background in fashion design. Her work reflects a visual saga of her ancestors, who came to NZ from “Old World Zealand” in Denmark to settle the 40 Mile Bush. The large paintings on hessian are influenced by Verdure Tapestries, creating an atmosphere in which the viewer is at the same time participant.
