“Apocalypse Now, a series of prints produced in 2011-2012, follows a similar theme incorporating the impact and devastation of the multiple Christchurch earthquakes and the grounding of the container vessel Ren, and further afield the destructive aftermath witnessed at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and the wasteland created in Namie, Japan.
These world calamities portray the fragility of human life - a combination of human faults pitted against natural disasters.”
