Vincent Ward Breath - the fleeting intensity of life

At first envisioned for a large space in which a stream of highly choreographed cinematic vignettes dart across as many as ten hanging screens to form a cohesive and  immersive experience, this single distilled work captures the essence of the larger installation that featured at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery and  the 2012 Shanghai Biennale.

Vincent Ward is a  feature filmmaker with a background in fine arts. His family have a long history in the Wairarapa, and he visits often. His childhood was spent near the Rumahanga river and as a consequence it has had an abiding influence on his work.
