Join us for an embroidery class that will inspire your creativity while enabling you to engage with some of the art in "Dream Gardens” - an exciting new exhibition at Aratoi this summer.
In the workshop, led by seasoned embroiderer, Cathrine Lloyd, you’ll learn the art of stitching a beautiful garden insect, a beetle using vibrant threads, sequins and beads.
Whether you're an experienced stitcher or a newcomer to embroidery, this class offers the perfect opportunity for you to express your love for gardens while transforming your stitches into a piece of art that celebrates the magic of nature. The workshop includes a personal tour of the exhibition and will give you the background stories behind the art works and some of the techniques used to create them.
Cost: $100 (you will need to bring your own lunch but there’s a great cafe on site)
All materials, including hoop, needles, threads, sequins and beads will be provided.
Please bring your own embroidery scissors.
Tickets can be transferred, but no full refunds after Wednesday 12 February, 4pm
